I offer nutritional medicine, homeopathy and acupuncture as complementary therapies alongside general medical advice which can include ordering diagnostic tests and making specialist referrals. In 1979, I completed my medical training at the Royal London Hospital, and, in 1998, my initial classical homeopathic training when I gained my registration with the Faculty of Homeopathy. (I trained with the Oxford HPTG group and then completed advanced training with Dr Massimo Mangialavori, Bologna, Italy).
I am on the GMC register (2493495), the register of the Faculty of Homeopathy (Specialist Level- 2002), a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) and a member of the British Society of Environmental Medicine (BSEM). I have undertaken basic training in microimmunotherapy. I undergo annual appraisal and I have a full licence with the G.M.C. (relicensed for five years from 26 september 2018).
I worked as a NHS General Practitioner in St Albans, Hertfordshire (1993- 2016), and a sessional Associate Specialist doctor at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (2001 to 2014). I continue to work as an independent GP, a GP appraiser and a Tribunal Doctor for the Ministry of Justice. I was awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Nutritional Medicine (University of Surrey)in November 2019.
In 2008-2009, my N.H.S practice won awards from The Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health and from the N.H.S Alliance for the use of acupuncture for chronic knee pain due to osteoarthritis. I am registered, with the Hertfordshire PCT, as a 'GP with special interest' in acupuncture.
I am undertaking advanced training in Nutritional Medicine (MSc course at University of Surrey) and take a general holistic view which includes diet, exercise and emotional well being. I am a member of the British Society for Ecological Medicine (B.S.E.M). I have trained with the Institute of Functional Medicine, having completed the five day course 'Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice' (AMFCP London 2017).
I am registered practitioner , having completed the advanced training in December 2017, by Dr Dale Bredesen in 'reversal of cognitive decline' and use of the bredesen protocol click here for more information.
